I'm Matt Mason, an Australian Christian writer and teacher, and founder of Lion of Fire Ministries, a YouTube ministry with over 100,000 subscribers and more than 20 million views.
I came to Christ at the end of 2005, and my faith has been shaped through both ministry experience and deep personal trial. In 2015, after a season of burnout, I was diagnosed with Lyme disease, which led to years of severe chronic illness - including being housebound and at times bedridden. That season radically reshaped my understanding of identity, purpose, and faithfulness to God.
Early in my Christian walk, I became concerned with the rise of seeker-friendly preaching and a version of Christianity that often felt more like self-help than convicting gospel truth. I knew people needed to hear the full counsel of God - truth that calls for repentance, faith, and real transformation.
Today, I share truth to encourage, inspire, challenge, and convict, helping believers grow in faith and reminding people that their worth and purpose are found in Christ alone. I am also passionate about helping people understand the Gospel clearly and live from their identity in Christ.
In August 2026, I published my first book, Stop Trying to Be a Better Christian: 60 Daily Devotions. It is my prayer that these devotions encourage believers to look beyond striving and performance and discover who they already are in Christ.
